February’s Finale: Volatility, Big Wins & What’s Next!

February 18, 20253 min read

And JUST like that, February is in the books and we are entering the end of Q1 2025. Volatility continues to be a major theme, which reinforces the need for disciplined trading AND risk management. We LOVE hearing of great trade success from so many of you and are glad you continue to rightsize risk (See 1% rule & 7-point checklist). We hope many of you caught AJ’s call publication, warning of a downside move in bitcoin, from TWO months ago, and capitalized accordingly.

As we close out one month and start another, here is a quick note fromAJ Monte;

“When analyzing the price action on a candle chart, I will often say…Look to the left as you draw to the right. The redundancy is intentional because I want to make sure our members are more focused on the price action than they are with the oscillating indicators such as the Stochastic and CCI. When markets begin to reverse from an uptrend to a downtrend, the oscillators will often give false buy signals because the dynamics of the market are shifting as sellers take control of the price action. Patterns such as the role reversal and A-B-C-D formations are most important as we move into a bear market, so pay close attention to these. It’s going to get exciting as the VIX begins to move to higher levels, so turn off CNBC and turn on the charts. It will help remove the emotions when it comes time to make the trade. Enjoy the weekend and here’s to continued successful and disciplined trading in March.”
